A&L counts big tech heavyweights such as Google, Meta, Twitter (X) and Reddit as clients in High Court litigation, with Hurley’s department involved in these matters. He is currently acting in one case involving the state of Argentina which centres on enforcing a $16 billion judgment, believed to be the biggest case by value in Irish history. The firm is also on record for a defendant in the case taken by Michael Flatley over Castlehyde Estate. As co-head of A&L Goodbody’s disputes and investigations group, Hurley has experience in handling multi-party litigation in the Commercial Court and has advised Irish and US listed companies on multi-billion euro/dollar schemes of arrangement and capital restructurings. Over the years, she has advised large corporates including Depfa Bank, Coca-Cola Hellenic, McDonald’s Restaurants of Ireland, Dairygold, Kingspan, and Ulster Bank, in a variety of legal matters. Harty is beloved by clients and respected by colleagues for her fearless and meticulous approach to litigation. After 25 years in McCann FitzGerald, including many as an equity partner, Harty joined Dentons in 2022 in a move that caught people’s attention given her longstanding seniority within the domestic Irish firm.
Along with being partner and head of the litigation practice group in Dentons’ Dublin office, she is also the international firm’s global co-chair of disputes. Harty has a particular expertise in asset recovery and is a vocal promoter of diversity within the Irish legal services market. She is also regarded as an expert in defamation law and has represented media organisations, including the BBC in a defamation case taken by Gerry Adams. The BBC denies defamation. She has also helped organise and co-chaired the Dublin International Disputes Week.

Along with Tubridy, O’Malley has represented a wide variety of other clients, including DAF, the truck dealer, in mass litigation claims arising out of a finding by the European Commission of a truck cartel.
He has also acted in the Belfry litigation involving more than 300 claims arising out of property investments in the UK.
